I am very meticulous and pay close attention t detail. While some may say that I am rigid, I believe that my work should have a technical aspect to it. This desire drives me to describe my subject matter as accurately as I possibly can. Within a framework of unusual composition, my art has been inspired in may unsuspected ways and places. I see everything repeating itself in varied forms, and at the same time, I see things confined to the natural limitations, each an example of the typical day in my life. Mostly the same series of events happen day after day, but each day differs slightly. To express this, I create numerous series of each idea to fully explore its depths. My attention to the fundamental elements of design has allowed me to branch my ability in to other areas other than drawing. Some of which includes, pottery, sculpture, graphic design, printmaking, painting, and anything else that I can get my hands on.
I have also found that no education I have obtained has been wasted. Even though my day job does not have anything to do with art, I find myself using things from my art education experience every day. Alternatively I have found that education I have obtained in my professional development have helped me to become more organized and focused as an artist.
